In short
- Delete your account yourself, right in the app: Profile → Delete account.
- You type
DELETEto confirm, then re-sign-in with Google so we know it's really you. - Your name, profile, workout history and connections are permanently erased — it can't be undone.
- Only records we must keep by law (e.g., payment records) are retained, with your identity removed.
- Can't sign in? Email our grievance officer at privacy@korep.in.
1.Delete it in the app
Account deletion is self-serve — you don't need to email anyone or wait for us. It's the fastest, most private route and works entirely from your phone:
- Open Korep and go to Profile → Delete account.
- Read what will be erased and what is kept, add an optional reason, and type
DELETEto confirm. - Tap Continue to verify and sign in again with Google. This re-authentication confirms the request is genuinely yours; if you pick a different Google account, nothing is deleted and you're safely signed out.
- Once verified, your account and personal data are removed. The action is irreversible.
This gives effect to your right to erasure under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
2.Before you delete — please read
- If you have an active paid plan, cancel it first (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy); deletion does not by itself generate refunds for time already billed.
- If you're a trainer, your clients keep every session and plan you logged for them — that data belongs to them. Your public profile, reviews received and roster links are removed.
- If you just want a break, consider simply signing out or ending your trainer links — your history stays safe either way.
3.What gets permanently erased
- Your name, profile photo and any phone number you added (phone is only an optional profile detail — it was never your login).
- For gym-goers: your entire workout history and progress — sessions, exercises, sets, notes, streaks and analytics.
- For trainers: your bio, certification, specialisations, pricing and availability, plus your custom exercises.
- Your notifications and device sign-ins (push tokens).
- Your trainer–client links, requests and waitlist entries (as a trainer, your links end; each client keeps their own data).
- Reviews you wrote are already anonymous; on deletion they are disconnected from you entirely.
4.What is retained (anonymised, and why)
- Payment records — kept for the period required by Indian tax and financial-record law, with your identity removed, then deleted.
- Workouts a trainer logged for a client belong to that client and remain with them — they are not the trainer's to delete.
- Fraud-prevention and security logs — retained briefly where necessary to protect the platform, then deleted.
- Aggregated, anonymised statistics that cannot identify you (e.g., "sessions logged in Pune this month") are unaffected, as they contain no personal data.
5.Timeline
| Step | Time |
|---|---|
| You confirm in-app (type DELETE + Google re-auth) | Immediate |
| Account removed and made invisible to all users | Immediately on confirmation |
| Permanent deletion from live systems | Within 30 days |

6.Can't sign in, or need help?
If you can no longer access your Google account and can't complete the in-app deletion, write to our grievance officer at privacy@korep.in and we'll help you verify your identity and erase your data.
If you're deleting because something's broken or frustrating, we'd genuinely like the chance to fix it first — write to support@korep.fit or use our contact page. But if you're set on leaving: no hoops, no dark patterns.
